"Transcending Time and Space" Idaki Shin concert

On November 22, 1996 performed the pipe organ at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, one of the three Holy Cities, where the remains of the Apostle St. James (Santiago) are enshrined, and on November 23, 1996 had a benefit concert at Auditorio de Galicia located in the same city. They say it was for the first time in history that a secular musician performed the organ of the basilica.

The proceeds from the concert was donated to ASPANAES (National Association of Austic and Psychotic People of the Province of La Coruna).

"Transcending Time and Space"

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to His Excellency, the President of the Junta de Galicia Mr. Manuel Fraga, to the Honorable Mayor of Santiago de Compostela Mr. Xerardo Estevez, and to all people concerned for their heartful support and understanding, which made this evening’s concert possible.

I also express my deepest gratitude to the Japanese audience here who dedicate themselves to creating a global environment on this planet where our future generations can live happily bringing about a state of "Love and Peace" and who came all the way to Santiago de Compostela in pursuit of vital encounters.

Moment by moment, I live in such a way that I constantly meet people and communicate with them deep inside my body, thus liberating them, allowing them to live their authentic lives.

In my improvisation concerts, each member of the audience that I feel in my body differs in condition: Some are hurt and filled with sorrow. Some are suffering too much to breathe, and make me feel and experience internally their ailments and pains as they are. Some are earnestly seeking for hope or love and striving to realize them.

As the improvisation progresses, I feel these individual lives move towards uniting with each other into oneness and repeating the process of their regeneration in pursuit of eternal life. Then, their lives finally meet and unite with space, and spread out into the vast universe. My concert ends when the light of life shines all over, radiating from deep inside each of us.

May all of you be blessed with great happiness, spirituality and supreme bliss. Thank you very much.
